Bathroom Remodeling in Philadelphia, PA

Bathrooms are small rooms with a lot going on: waterproofing, drainage, ventilation, tile work and fixtures all in a few square feet. Cutting corners on any of them shows up later as loose tile, a soft floor or a stain on the ceiling below.

We remodel bathrooms from the studs out when that is what the room needs, and we do straightforward vanity, tub and tile updates when it is not. Either way the waterproofing behind the tile is done properly, because that is the part you cannot fix later without tearing it out.

Bathroom Services We Provide

Tile Showers

Waterproofed shower systems with large-format or mosaic tile, niches, benches and glass panels or doors.

Tub Replacement

Removing an old tub and surround and installing a new tub or converting to a walk-in shower where framing allows.

Vanities and Tops

New vanity cabinets, stone tops, mirrors, lighting and the plumbing connections behind them.

Bathroom Flooring

Tile or waterproof plank flooring over a properly prepared and, where needed, reinforced subfloor.

Fixtures and Ventilation

Toilets, faucets, valves, shower systems and exhaust fans vented to the exterior, not into the ceiling cavity.

Layout and Accessibility

Moving a wall or fixture to gain usable space, plus grab-bar blocking and curbless entries when requested.

How We Remodel a Bathroom

  1. Step 1

    Assessment

We look at the existing fixtures, floor structure and venting, and check for past water damage before quoting.

  2. Step 2

    Scope and Materials

Tile, fixtures and vanity are chosen against a written scope so nothing is decided mid-demo.

  3. Step 3

    Demo and Rough-In

Strip-out, framing corrections, new supply and drain lines, then waterproofing and backer board.

  4. Step 4

    Tile and Finish

Tile setting and grout, fixture install, trim, caulk and a final leak check before the room is turned over.

Bathrooms in Older Philadelphia Homes

Second-floor bathrooms in older city homes frequently sit over a kitchen or dining room, so we take drainage and waterproofing seriously and inspect the joists once the floor is open. Undersized venting and original galvanized supply lines are also common finds worth correcting while the wall is open.

We also work on basement and powder-room additions in Abington, Cheltenham and Elkins Park homes, where adding a bathroom below the main drain line means planning for an ejector pump.
